There are ongoing discussions to create more housing in Foxton. The Localism Act 2011 gives a way of having a major say on how the village improves and changes.
Matters such as sites for specific development, social, economic and environmental issues, housing,employment, heritage, transport and even traffic issues need to be considered.
Extensive consultation will involve all adults resident in the parish, their children, business owners, formally constituted groups, managers of services, land owners and developers. Residents will be invited to take part in public meetings, community events, questionnaires and surveys.
The results of the consultation will create a written vision for Foxton (Neighbourhood Development Plan). Once checked and if adopted, it will be used to help determine planning applications in the village and guide future development.
